Educational Workshop

The educational workshops offered by the BORIKEN Performing Group have the purpose of sharing our Puerto Rican culture with the community, families, children and students through the dance and music of the Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba. The interactive workshops address topics such as the explanation of the different types of rhythms, the history of clothing, the instruments we use and the story behind each song. At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to dance and sing together with the BORIKEN Performing Group as part of their “Bombazo”.

The duration of these workshops vary from 20 minutes to an hour. They’re perfect for schools, libraries, clubs, community events, and more.
